Creative Programming in Detention Facilities

Volunteer artists, writers, and other creative people lead workshops for small groups within local jails in rural middle Tennessee.

Mandala workshop at the Maury County Jail

Our volunteer artists lead workshops in painting, creative writing, journaling, and other art forms for small groups of incarcerated individuals. The workshops are usually composed of 2 hour sessions every week for 4-8 weeks.

We currently offer regular creative programming in-person at Grundy, Franklin, Wayne and Rutherford county jails and virtual programming at Maury County Jail.
